Autoloading System
Design Concept:
The loader had to be mounted onto the end of the barrel to "muzzle-load" the bean bags in so that it did not interfere with the pneumatic piston system. It features an additive-hopper which allows the stack to be increased for holding more bean bags. Two 12 volt linear actuators were implemented; one for pinching the upper bean bags and the other for pushing the bottom one out of the hopper. A limit switch extends over the feed chute and will be hit as the bean bag drops down. This tells the system if it has been properly loaded
Components:
-
L298N Dual Motor Controller
-
Connected to KL25Z microcontroller and powers the actuators
-
4" stroke Linear Actuator (Top)
-
0.8" stroke Linear Actuator (Bottom)
-
Both are powered by 12 Volts and have a force of 4.5lbs
-
Lever actuated limit switch
-
Sends a high signal, a 1, to the program to say that a bean bag has fallen into the barrel
